Authenti Launches Intentional Introduction Platform, No Swiping, No Profiles

Authenti, founded by Richard Decker in Sag Harbor, New York, has launched an intentional introduction platform in New York and Long Island. The company built its model to replace swiping and public profiles with a private, algorithm-driven process it describes as a modern matchmaker for people who want a different path to meeting someone.

Industry reporting points to widespread fatigue among dating app users. A Forbes Health survey found that 78% of users feel emotionally, mentally, or physically exhausted by dating apps.

A separate Tawkify survey found that users feel 77% of the time spent on these apps is wasted. Authenti's founders built the platform in response to that pattern, aiming to reduce the browsing and comparing that often accompany dating app use.

Rather than presenting a stream of profiles to scroll through, Authenti's system works behind the scenes to identify compatibility based on values, lifestyle, and rhythm. The company calls this approach alignment before attraction: the algorithm looks for compatibility first, then introduces a small number of matches once that alignment is established, rather than leaving users to sort through options themselves.

Profiles on Authenti remain private by default, and the company explains that no member can view another without mutual interest already confirmed. When a match is identified, it first appears as a softened silhouette image, so members begin talking before either party sees a clear photo of the other.

Through SparkReveal, a patent-pending system the company built, details such as photos, last names, and occupations unlock gradually as mutual interest builds, with members controlling the pace of each reveal so no information surfaces without agreement from both sides.

Authenti is currently onboarding its first 10,000 founding members in New York, with plans to expand to Chicago, Miami, Austin, and Nashville in the months ahead. The platform recently drew attention through a feature on CBS affiliates, where Decker discussed the company's approach to rethinking how people meet.
