Camarillo Insomnia & Excessive Daytime Sleepiness Treatment Announced

Southern California Pulmonary & Sleep Disorders Medical Center has announced the availability of insomnia and excessive daytime sleepiness treatment services for patients throughout Camarillo and the Ventura County area.

More information is available at https://sleepmd4u.com/

The announcement follows data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimating that 50 to 70 million adults in the United States live with a chronic sleep or wakefulness disorder. Southern California Pulmonary & Sleep Disorders Medical Center aims to help Camarillo patients determine whether they are among this population and what course of care may be appropriate.

Patients are required to complete a questionnaire packet before their first appointment. This can be completed digitally or by hand and submitted by email, mail, fax, or in person. Once the center reviews the completed document, an evaluation appointment is scheduled.

After a diagnosis is established, the team develops a treatment plan suited to the patient's specific condition, medical history, and personal preferences. The center treats a range of sleep disorders, including insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, snoring, sleep apnea, restless limb syndrome, and narcolepsy.

"Dr. Popper and his entire staff are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in their field. Over the course of my time as a patient here, they have run tests, asked good questions, remained patient with me, and ultimately diagnosed and successfully treated a lifelong issue. My quality of life is remarkably improved," said Kate O., a patient at Southern California Pulmonary & Sleep Disorders Medical Center.

The center is located at 317 S. Moorpark Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91361, and serves patients across Thousand Oaks, Los Angeles, Malibu, Westlake Village, Camarillo, and the surrounding Southern California region. Patients who are unable to visit the office in person can use SleepTM, a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform that provides secure video consultations with sleep specialists, removing the need for travel or extended waiting-room time.

Dr. Ronald Popper, who leads the practice, is board-certified in sleep disorders medicine by both the American Board of Sleep Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine. The center has held accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine since 1985.

Camarillo patients experiencing ongoing difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or staying awake during the day can begin the evaluation process by calling 805-557-9930 or visiting https://sleepmd4u.com/
