Citronella-Based Mosquito Repellent Patches For Kids, Product Range Expanded

The recently restocked BuzzPatch Bundles provide families with 60 DEET-free mosquito repellent stickers that attach to clothing without requiring direct application to children's skin. Each sticker combines a citronella essential-oil blend with NatPat's proprietary slow-dispersal technology for consistent, long-lasting aroma release.

The announcement comes as public health agencies continue to recommend mosquito-bite prevention during outdoor activities, particularly in locations and periods where mosquitoes are active. For parents, finding a repellent children will tolerate can become part of maintaining that protection during several hours outdoors.

Citronella, an essential oil derived from lemongrass species, is commonly used in plant-based mosquito repellents and may help reduce mosquito attraction by masking some of the human scents mosquitoes use to locate people. BuzzPatch incorporates the ingredient into a wearable sticker, giving families a practical option that can be attached to children's clothing before they head outside.

"Parents often need mosquito protection that fits easily into a child's day outdoors," a NatPat representative said. "BuzzPatch gives families a simple way to use a citronella-based option without having to apply sprays, creams, or lotions directly to the skin."

At the center of the sticker is NatPat's AromaWeave™ technology, which provides a consistent, long-lasting release of its essential-oil blend. Each BuzzPatch is made from non-woven fabric and medical-grade adhesive tape and can be placed on clothing during playground visits, family outings, camping trips, and other outdoor activities. For best results, NatPat recommends replacing the sticker every eight hours.

Each bundle contains 60 assorted-color stickers in resealable packaging. Unused stickers can be returned to the resealable Ziploc bag, with NatPat stating that properly sealed BuzzPatch stickers can last for up to 24 months.

BuzzPatch was the product that started NatPat after co-founder Michael Jankie's children experienced repeated mosquito bites. Founded in Melbourne in 2020 by three fathers, NatPat has since expanded its range to include essential-oil-based stickers for sleep, focus, mood, and congestion support, with the company now serving more than one million families across 32 countries and selling over 100 million stickers worldwide.
