Competing in the category of Best Junk Removal, VETS Junk Removal and Dumpsters has recently been nominated for The Post and Courier Free Times Best of Columbia 2026 Competition. Voting for the contest, which spans more than 300 categories, opened June 1 and will close on June 26.

For nearly four decades, the Free Times Best of Columbia contest has invited area residents to recognize top local businesses, according to data from The Post and Courier. The competition started with 75 categories, and has steadily grown to more than 300 awards across art galleries, DJs, barbers, dentists, tattoo artists, cleaning companies, construction services, and more. Winners are recognized for gold, silver, or bronze achievement, recognized in local publications, and invited to community celebrations.
Chosen among the winners for 2025, VETS Junk Removal and Dumpsters is seeking to repeat their success in 2026. The company is competing against nine other nominees in the junk removal category, one of the more active service segments in the Columbia market. The team notes that population growth, residential renovation activity, estate cleanouts, and steady rental turnover near the University of South Carolina have kept demand for junk removal services high throughout the region.
VETS Junk Removal and Dumpsters handles a wide range of materials, from household clutter and furniture to heavy debris such as concrete and construction materials. Yard waste, hot tub, and swimming pool removal are also available. The company provides residential and commercial waste removal and hauling services in West Columbia, Lexington, Forest Acres, Cayce, Chapin, and beyond.
