Tourism remains a cornerstone of Puerto Viejo’s hospitality and dining sector, fueled by rising international interest in Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. According to Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), the country welcomed approximately 2.69 million visitors arriving by air in 2025, surpassing the previous year's figures. The rise in visitor arrivals has fueled ongoing demand for hospitality, dining, and cultural attractions throughout destinations along the Caribbean coast.
According to the restaurant, the summer menu draws inspiration from the culinary traditions of Limón Province, where Afro-Caribbean influences have shaped local cuisine for generations. Seafood remains a central feature, complemented by tropical fruits, coconut-based preparations, regional spices, and other ingredients commonly associated with the Caribbean coast.
“The summer menu was designed to reflect the flavors and cultural influences that define Puerto Viejo,” said a restaurant representative. “By combining Afro-Caribbean cuisine with live Caribbean music and oceanfront dining, we wanted to create an experience that feels connected to the traditions of Costa Rica’s southern Caribbean coast.”
